It’s definitely not the greatest backstory, but it was the best I could think of to fit the game (Fallout 4 doesn’t exactly give you boundless freedom to rp like New Vegas does). Plus the stereotype about non-Asian Americans not being able to tell different East Asian ethnicities apart is true oftentimes and is probably true in Fallout’s America as well I myself unfortunately have a hard time telling different Asian groups apart and usually have to go by their last name to figure out what their specific ethnic background is. America in the 2070s has a huge amount of war-induced sinophobia so her identifying as being of Chinese ancestry would probably land her in an internment camp even though she’s married to an American citizen. Well, I know the whole “Chinese spy posing as Japanese” bit is kinda hokey, but it was the best I could come with for a decent backstory that fits with the backstory you’re given in vanilla Fallout 4 (I’m not playing with mods). I’m open to siding with any of the other three, I’m just trying to figure out which faction would fit this roleplay the best. Who should I side with? I’m not siding with the Minutemen I did them in my last playthrough and they’re too Americana for a Commie spy like her.
